The Thomson tartans are of fairly recent origin, having been specifically created for Lord Thomson of Fleet. These were submitted to the Lord Lyon and registered by him in 1958. Our Thomson Camel Tartan is a miniature version made specifically for Collégien, by a Belgian fabric manufacturer.
